Our Story

In March, Joanna participated in a climate advocacy rally, where she learned how a large share of landfill volume is made up of electronic waste. Later, in July, Kahaan and Joanna attended a robotics workshop together and recognized that the parts in the very devices our city discards could instead be used to teach engineering to the youth.

Since then, they have reached out to local ecology centers to pursue formal partnerships while collecting and repairing donated electronics. Their goal is to host the collective's first workshop by September.

We keep usable technology in circulation by testing donated devices and rebuilding the working parts into hands-on workshop hardware. Anything that cannot be reused is separated and routed to responsible recovery, and the batteries are handled by specialized collection centers for safe destruction.
