Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of this website, your account, and our electronics donation and workshop programs.
Last updated: August 19, 2026
Agreement to these terms
By using this website, creating an account, logging a donation, or taking part in our programs, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your sign-in credentials private. Please tell us right away if you think someone else is using your account. We may suspend or remove accounts that are used to submit false donation records, abuse the contact form, or interfere with the site.
Donating electronics
When you hand over a device to us, you confirm that it is yours to give and that you are not expecting it back. Working hardware may be reused in our workshops; the rest is passed to responsible recyclers.
Please erase your data and remove SIM and memory cards before donating. We take reasonable care with the hardware we receive, but we cannot guarantee recovery or deletion of any data left on a device, and we cannot return donated items once processed.
- Remove batteries — we cannot accept loose or damaged batteries.
- Sign out of accounts and services on the device.
- Do not include hazardous material, liquids, or anything not listed on our drop-off page.
Financial donations
Financial donations are processed by a third-party payment processor and are voluntary. Unless we state otherwise in writing, donations are non-refundable once processed. If you believe a payment was made in error, email us and we will review it.
We do not make any representation about the tax treatment of your donation. Please consult a tax professional about your own situation.
Workshops and events
Workshop dates, locations, and capacity can change. Participation may require a separate registration or a guardian's consent. Attendees are expected to follow the safety instructions given by our workshop leads.
Acceptable use
When using this site, please do not:
- Submit false, misleading, or automated donation entries or messages.
- Attempt to access accounts, data, or administrative tools that are not yours.
- Copy or reuse our content, branding, or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you.
- Disrupt, probe, or overload the site or its underlying services.
Content and ownership
The text, images, and design on this site belong to Recircuit Collective unless otherwise credited. Third-party services embedded on the site, such as maps and payment forms, are governed by their own terms.

The site is provided on an as-is basis. We do our best to keep it accurate and available, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service or error-free information.
